"Zombie Attack" is a 10-minute long, 3-D simulation game that teaches students about modeling and simulation in a fun, engaging way. Similar to the popular Sim City game, in this interactive challenge students can add workers, different types of equipment, change inputs to their energy packet assembly line all in an attempt to make money. But if the zombies tasked with picking up the packets at the end of the line don't find anything, they become angry. Their anger leads them to begin destroying equipment, further adding to both the excitement and challenge of the players' task.
What's at stake beyond a great learning experience? High players from the seven libraries are invited to the August 22 "Finals" (to be webast LIVE!) to compete for notoriety and cool prices.
