The Gift of H.O.P.E.

During this holiday season, why not consider giving the ultimate gift to everyone you care about, and even others that you don't know yet.....

....the gift of H.O.P.E.?!

We have written a number of blogs about the concepts of CARE and HOPE as having more than simply acronym value.  Certainly, CARE is literally a powerful noun and verb at the same time.  And as an acronym, we like that it can stand for "Community Awareness, Recovery Education" as key elements of the formulary for helping improve population health at scale on issues of chronic illnesses/conditions such as substance abuse, diabetes, heart failure and others.  

However, H.O.P.E. can be an even more powerful lever in that it too is both a noun and a verb, but as an acronym, it stands for "Helping Other People Excel".  What can be a better gift for the holidays than to give one's time, talents and resources to efforts to help other people live better, healthier and more fulfilling lives?  Not everyone has a lot of money to give, but even if they do have money to give, it may not be as valuable as the personal touch and time spent to encourage, coach, lead, inspire and motivate someone to accomplish a major goal that would not have happened without that giving of "H.O.P.E".  When it comes to living healthier more productive lives the notion of giving others the inspiration to HOPE and then CARE is a powerful combination that can provide the answer to a whole lot of "ills".
